Celebrate Recovery
About
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian 12-step recovery program designed to offer relief from “hurts, hang-ups, and habits.” The program began in 1991 as a way to help people struggling with addiction or codependency. Since then, its scope has expanded and there are now meetings in churches all over the United States.
Mission
Celebrate Recovery (CR) provides a safe, non-judgmental environment where individuals' confidentiality is kept and they are free to explore healing through a growing relationship with God and others who share common experiences.
Vision
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to encourage fellowship, provide hope and to celebrate God's healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. We are changed as we share our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another in a recovery support group.
is a Biblical and balanced 12-step program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Some recovery programs deal only with alcohol, drugs, or another single issue. Celebrate Recovery takes a more comprehensive approach under which a limitless number of issues can be addressed, such as:
Addictions
Anger
Anxiety/Fear
Codependency
Divorce
Depression
Eating Disorders
Emotional Abuse
Gambling
Grief
Guilt
Loneliness
Physical Abuse
Pornography
Sexual Abuse
Shame
A typical Celebrate Recovery meeting includes:
6 pm - A 50-55 minute large group meeting that includes praise music,
prayer, and a testimony or teaching.
7 pm - A 50-55 minute open share small group meeting where you connect
with other Celebrate Recovery attendees. These groups are gender
specific, issue specific, and confidential.
- A 50-55 minute Newcomers meeting for 1st time attendees held
while the open share small groups meet.
8 pm - A time of refreshments and sharing life to close out the evening.
Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for you to talk about your life. A key component of Celebrate Recovery is that this ministry values anonymity and strict confidentiality. Guidelines about how the groups operate are read and followed at every meeting. This creates an open environment where people learn to trust and share what is happening in their lives without fear or judgement. Check us out at
